Volunteering with the kids at J. Colon Elementary School has been a great way to learn more about the next generation that will one day be running our world. It is a wonderful way to stay connected to the social justice issues that are facing our society today. The Dr. Piper Center really cultivates relationships within the community.

The Mission

The Senior Employment Program provides part-time community service employment for low-income adults 55 and older. The participants gain skills, training, and experience necessary to re-enter the workforce, with the focus of their efforts on the local community. The Senior Employment Program emphasizes both community service and unsubsidized job placements for its participants.

The Program

This program provides FREE Senior Employment Computer Training. Classes are open enrollment with a limited number of seats to allow more one-on-one training for our clients. The classes are Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00-12:30 pm or 1:00-3:30 pm for 4 weeks. The next class begins
